IMB Focus:

NORTHERN CHILENOS OF CHILE (chee-LAY-noh). The Northern Chileno Strategy Group writes: "Over the past few months, you have been praying for various volunteer teams that have come to northern Chile to work among the people here, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Your prayers have been evident, as Christ has been shared in neighborhoods with little or no evangelical presence. We have seen an openness that we have never experienced before. God is indeed moving, and we have felt your prayers opening doors. During the week before Easter, a volunteer team conducted several Bible Clubs with an unprecedented response--not only from children, but also from youth and adults. At a couple of evangelistic services, there was 'standing room only,' with people standing outside listening as well. Pray for the missionaries of northern Chile as we follow up on those who expressed an interest. Pray for true revival to break out across northern Chile." http://www.arvteam.com/

SOFIA, BULGARIA (SOH-fee-uh). Two college students will be arriving this month to spend the summer doing student outreach ministry in Sofia. Thank the Lord for supplying these workers! Please remember them and the students with whom they will come in contact. Ask the Father to prepare the soil to receive the seed of His Word and to bring forth a great harvest. Pray that the seeds will not be snatched away and choked out by the cares of this world. The goal is to have a Bible study group started that will continue at the end of the summer when they have to return to their college studies. Pray for these two students to be blessed and to grow closer to our Father during their time here and for them to be a blessing to the people with whom they will come in contact. pray4bg@yahoo.com; http://www.teambulgaria.org/

CHINA. Surveillance and expulsion are real threats for international Christians serving in China. Chinese Christians who are fervent in witness face the possibility of even more severe persecution. Yet thousands of workers and millions of local believers count the cost and move forward into the fields of service with great determination to make His name known. Pray today for all who give their lives so that His kingdom can come and His will be done on earth as in heaven.
