IMB FOCUS
NORTH SUMATRA MALAY OF INDONESIA (MAY-lay). In February, you were asked to pray about a series of training sessions for men concerning community development that would take place in one village of North Sumatra Malay. Give thanks that these meetings allowed the men to learn important principles from the Word concerning using talents, time and money wisely. After these training sessions were completed, the men formed a committee to choose one project from among the eight ideas that emerged from this training. Please continue to pray that as this committee of men meets, they will learn to work together, trust each other, and consider the needs of the whole village rather than their own personal gain. A major obstacle seems to be the lack of trust men have for each other. This is evident between families as well.

CRIOLLO OF NORTHERN ARGENTINA (cree-OL-yoh). Missionary David Holt, the strategy coordinator for the Northern Argentine Criollo, has a vision for reaching the hard-to-get-to populations in the interior of the province of Corrientes. He plans to unite the tourism industry with evangelism. "Corrientes has much to offer outdoorsmen, especially those interested in hunting and fishing. Many of our people, the Criollo, are employed in the tourism trade as guides, equipment experts and the like, throughout the hunting and fishing businesses. The Northern Argentine Criollo Strategy Group is working together to focus on regions of the province ideal for hunting, fishing and evangelism. We plan to bring in Christian hunters and fisherman as evangelistic volunteers. Among the Criollo people, the men are the hardest to reach, mostly due to a wrong idea about who Jesus is. Bringing in Christian men who treat their Criollo guides with respect and agape love, while sharing their interest in the outdoors, will open doors to sharing the gospel and create opportunities for missionaries to follow up with those interested in learning more about the real Jesus Christ. Please pray with us that the details for the strategy will be worked through, and that God will continue to work in the hearts of those whom He is preparing both to give and to receive the message of the Good News." http://www.nacriollo.com/

TSWANA OF BOTSWANA (t'SWAN-ah). While taking her own children to a Friday children's meeting at Gaborone Baptist Church, missionary Lisa Jones was overwhelmed at all the neighborhood children who were in attendance. These meetings have been going on for years, and the church has been so faithful in reaching out to the children of Gaborone. They sing, they play games and, most importantly, they hear and respond to the Word of God. Please praise God for these children's meetings as well as for the pastor's wife and the youth who lead these beautiful children. Also ask God to use these times to raise up the next generation of Christians in this country. Pray that they will carry the message of the gospel to the nation of Botswana.
