IMB Focus:
CATALONIANS OF WESTERN EUROPE (KAT-uh-loh-nee-ans). "Thank you, Lord, and thank you prayer partners," workers write. "In answer to your prayers, we now have a new sister in Christ! At the end of the ongoing discipleship Bible study, C. expressed her desire to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, and she did so through a beautiful prayer. Another reason for rejoicing is that the believer in whose apartment the Bible studies are being held prayed a prayer of reconciliation to God. After the death of a loved one, she has had faith issues. Please continue to pray for A., as she is every day closer to surrendering to Christ. Pray that these new believers will follow Jesus in baptism and will continue their growth through a lifelong study of God's Word." Bcn_sos@yahoo.es
CHURCH PLANTING IN ZIMBABWE. The topic of repentance and revival seems to be popping up everywhere you go these days in Zimbabwe. People have done all they can to make ends meet, and it is not enough. The despair and hopelessness are evident wherever you go. People are saying, "Only God can help us now!" They are right. Only God can. But first, God's children must be living in obedience to Him. The situation in Zimbabwe makes this time ripe for revival. Pray for God's Spirit to move mightily across Zimbabwe in the coming days.
KURDS OF IRAN. Please pray for two Iranian Sorani-speaking Kurds, K and R. They are newly married and have only been believers for a short period of time. Nonetheless, they are growing strong in their faith. Both K and R are Kurds from the western Iranian province of Kordestan (which means Kurdistan). However, they have not lived there for some time. K and R want to return to their home province, where there are only a few believers and house groups out of several million people, to do evangelism and church-planting work. Please pray for them as they step out in faith in this ministry. Ask God to provide for their needs and to give them trusted partners in the work. Pray that God will save many Sorani Kurds in the province of Kordestan in Iran. doulos@comcast.net
